Landlords Update

Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards

Posted in Latest News on By Phillipa.

Since April 2018 it has been mandatory that new Tenancy Agreements and renewals have an Energy Performance rating (EPC) of Band E or above.

As from April 2020 the regulations will be extended to also cover existing tenancies.  This means that, under the new legislation, property with an Energy Performance rating (EPC) of Band F or G will be classed as unrentable from that date on.

We recommend that all Landlords existing and new visit the Government web site shown below for further guidance.
